September 17 six mutant mountain bikers rode west from Durango, Colorado on the San Juan Hut system. Seven days, 212 miles, 21,212 of climbing, 24,936 feet of descending, six inches of snow, 21 bike repairs, and 63 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches later they arrived dirty, smelly, and with perma-grin in Moab, Utah.
